 Ross Ferguson - B.D.S

I graduated from University of Otago Dental School in 1971 and I am married to Yvonne who is a Physiotherapist at Nelson Hospital.

We have three married children and twelve grandchildren. I joined the practice in 1972 and since then the practice has expanded and now employs a staff of over twenty.

My particular interests outside dentistry are centered on family, golf, travel and my leadership role with Richmond Community Church.

I have been very fortunate to be able to combine my passions in promoting and leading volunteer dental health teams to places where dental care has been either unavailable or unaffordable.

In this role, I've taken teams to Papua-New Guinea, Cambodia, Vietnam, Mozambique, Fiji and this year I am leading a Dental and Medical team to Vanuatu. I have also taken regular trips to a unique clinic in Jerusalem (Dental Volunters for Israel Clinic) alongside Dentists from over 15 different countries providing dental care for needy children from all backgrounds.

Ann-Marie Urunkar - B.D.S

I graduated from Otago University in 1995 with a BDS and then worked for the New Zealand Defence Force before moving to Nelson to join the team at Richmond Dental Centre.

I have a passion for dental missions which has taken me to various countries to provide dental care for people who are not able to access a dentist otherwise.

I aim to provide painless dental treatment as well as finding dental solutions that's going to suit individual needs and circumstances, this involves taking time to explain all the treatment options so patients can make an informed decision. I particularly enjoy giving anxious patients a positive dental experience.

Outside dentistry, my hobbies include weight training, cooking and animals.

I am married with a young family.
