I consider myself a 'local boy' having grown up in Richmond.  I graduated from Otago in 1994 and have since traveled extensively and worked in Australia, New Zealand and England.

Before coming to Richmond Dental I owned my own practice on the Kapiti Coast for seven years.  At present I live in Motueka with my partner, Lauren and family. My interests include tramping, gardening (especially cacti and succulents), house renovation, snowboarding and classic British motorbikes.

Ann-Marie Urunkar B.D.S - Richmond Dental Centre

Ann-Marie Urunkar B.D.S

I graduated from Otago University in 1995 with a BDS and then worked for the New Zealand Defence Force before moving to Nelson to join the team at Richmond Dental Centre.

I have a passion for dental missions which has taken me to various countries to provide dental care for people who are not able to access a dentist otherwise.

I aim to provide painless dental treatment as well as finding dental solutions that's going to suit individual needs and circumstances, this involves taking time to explain all the treatment options so patients can make an informed decision. I particularly enjoy giving anxious patients a positive dental experience.

Outside dentistry, my hobbies include weight training, cooking and animals.

I am married with a young family.

Jacob Linn B.D.S

Kia ora! It's great to be back home in the beautiful Tasman region. Having grown up here - educated at Mapua Primary and Motueka High School - it was an easy decision to make the move to come back and settle down.

I graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2018. Since then I have spent time working in New Plymouth and the Nelson Bays region. I have experience working in private practice and also the public sector with time spent at Nelson Hospital Dental Department in 2021.

I joined Richmond Dental Centre and Pienaar Health Dental at the start of 2022 and love working with the team.

My approach to dentistry is patient centered with a focus on clear and honest communication. I have a special interest in digital dentistry and Oral Surgery. I practice with a conservative mindset and place an emphasis on prevention.

Outside of work you'll find me out training for a triathlon, lounging on the beach, or catching up with family and friends for coffee.

Born in Indonesia, I moved to "scarfie" central Dunedin, NZ at 2014. I graduated from the University of Otago with both the Bachelors of Dental Technology at 2017, and the Bachelors of Dental Surgery.

I am passionate on all aspects of dentistry with a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. I am friendly, approachable and enjoy making positive connections with my patients, and while providing quality patient centric care. I thrive to pursue excellence in the care I provide by giving the best patient experience possible with the state-of-the-art facilities we have at Richmond Dental Centre.

Having been in New Zealand for the later half of the decade, the natural scenery of the South Island has developed some new hobbies such as tramping, snowboarding and surfing as well as golf.

Day to day, I enjoy to exercise and participate in social sports such as basketball and football. I have special interests in modern history and hold a high appreciation in creative writing. I look forward to calling Nelson/Richmond my home and exploring natural splendor of the Tasman region.
